Rain Gardens

Learn green solutions to address climate change—which is affecting weather patterns across the globe including more intense rainfall events in the Pittsburgh region. Excess precipitation generates more storm water, resulting in flooding, poor water quality and erosion. Participants will learn to create rain gardens, then tour several rain gardens and other green stormwater infrastructure solutions onsite at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve.
