Description

Municipal officials, staff, and engineers are invited to this free workshop focused on grants and funding. Refreshments will be provided. Option to attend in person at Buffalo Creek Nature Park (154 Monroe Road, Sarver, 16055) or online. An meeting link will be emailed to all registrants.

9 am – 9:30, Registration & refreshments

9:30 – 10 am, Buffalo Creek Watershed and Important Bird Area Updates – Sarah Koenig, Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania

 

10 am - 10:45 am, Water Resource Funding Overview, including key funding sources & tips for successful grant applications - HRG

10:45 – 11 am, break

11 am – 11:30 am, Dirt, Gravel, and Low Volume Roads Program – Gregg A Smith, Armstrong Conservation District

11:30 am – noon, Growing Greener Grant, including updated program guidelines, and NPS 319 Grants – Christine Phillips and Jacob Moore,  PA Department of Environmental Protection

 

This workshop is offered free of cost by the Buffalo Creek Coalition and Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania, with financial assistance provided by PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Environmental Stewardship Fund, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Growing Greener Fund, and the Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds.
