Newfoundland Eco-Tour

This trip will combine birding, whale-watching and unique Newfoundland cultural experiences. Visits to L’anse Aux Meadows, Notre Dame Provincial Park, Port Aux Choix, Glassy Beach, Indian River Walking Trail, and Big Back Cove highlight the stops. Other highlights of the trip include an Iceberg Quest Boat Tour looking for ice bergs and additional native wildlife. Target birds species includes Atlantic Puffin, Northern Lapwing, Dovekie, King Eider, Razorbill, Black-backed Woodpecker, and Gyrfalcon. Cultural visits to L’anse Aux Meadows will explore the only confirmed Norse settlement in North America.
